Call for submissions: ARTicipate create and performance grants—deadline May 24, 2022

By Apartment613 on May 18, 2022

Supported by Arts Network Ottawa, ARTicipate Grants aim to spark artistic activity at the Shenkman Arts Centre by supporting creative projects of all disciplines through grants awarded to local artists and arts organizations to create and/or present their work at the Centre. Since 2007, Arts Network Ottawa has administered more than $810,000 in funding to 140+ projects through this program.

This year, ARTicipate has been tailored to better suit the needs of artists by announcing 3 application streams:

  • LaLande + Doyle Exhibition Space
  • Events and Performances
  • Creation and Development

Application streams are now open for the ARTicipate Creation and Development and Events and Performances grant streams. Applicants who are looking to explore and develop work may be interested in the Creation and Development stream, while those who are interested in hosting festivals, concerts, and events can apply to Events and Performances. Projects can take place between July 2022 and June 2023.

Applications are accepted until May 24, 2022. Visit articipate.ca for more information. The program will prioritize projects from artists and arts groups who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Black, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQ+, newcomers, immigrants, refugees, Older Adults, People with Disabilities, Francophones, and Rural Residents applying to the program.

Grant recipients can also participate in Learning Labs.  These sessions convene ARTicipate Project Grant recipients to connect and discuss strategies and solutions related to project delivery.  For ongoing information about these new Project Grants, follow @ArtsNetOttawa on social media or head to articipate.ca for more details.
