Call for nominations: Virtual Pride Parade Grand Marshals

By Greggory Clark on August 10, 2020

Nominate a healthcare worker who identifies as 2SLGBTQ+ to be celebrated as a Grand Marshal of the 2020 Virtual Pride Parade.

Organizers of the annual festival have decided Capital Pride’s 2020 Grand Marshals (plural!) will be healthcare workers from the Ottawa-Gatineau region who are helping our community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Public nominations are being accepted for Grand Marshals of the Virtual Pride Parade, which will take place enitrely online for the first time. There are no in-person Pride events due to COVID-19. To submit a nomination, fill out this online form.

Capital Pride will select nominees who live and work in the National Capital Region based on their contributions as a front line worker throughout COVID-19. “Through their bravery and dedication to keeping our community safe, the nominees should be admirable individuals who shine not only at work but through personal achievements elsewhere,” says the call for nominations.
