Bluesfest adds 30+ more artists to the 2017 lineup

By Greggory Clark on April 19, 2017

Over the long weekend RBC Bluesfest organizers added several dozen new listings to the festival website. Notable additions to the lineup announced in February include Alan Doyle (of Great Big Sea) and his band The Beautiful Gypsies, soul and r&b icon Patti LaBelle, Canadian rock guitarist Pat Travers, blues rocker Sari Schorr, and NYC guitarist and improvisor Yonathan Gat.

“As in previous years, we continue to add to our lineup after the intitial launch. These additional acts become a bonus for those who already have tickets and, for those who haven’t, this makes it even more compelling to get some,” said the festival’s director in an email.

Local acts added to the bill include art-rock band Pony Girl, songstress Rebecca Noelle (of The PepTides), psychedelic rockers How Far To Mexico, psych pop band Future States, funky afrobeat jazz fusion ensemble The Souljazz Orchestra, and rock duo Riishi Von Rex.

More new acts include:

  • Arum Rae
  • Delicate Steve
  • Hamish Anderson
  • Jillian Kerr
  • Lora Bidner
  • Taylor Angus
  • The Zombies
  • The Glorious Sons

For the full festival lineup visit Day passes start at $49.50 plus taxes and fees.
