BLAKDENIM is a local jazz rap band that will be playing a set at Bluesfest on Friday July 12 at 6:30pm.
One of the band’s lead singers, Crystalena Paquette says, “I’m not promising any crowd surfing, but if there are enough people who have their hands up, I’m sure Kenny would,” referring to BLAKDENIM’s rapper Kenny Precise Creole.
“Je t’adore” is the name of their new single. She describes the song as French, loungy “nighttime feels.” They’ll be releasing it alongside their Bluesfest performance. “We wrote it in Montreal, for Montreal,” Paquette says, “It’s kind of talking about all kinds of love.”
