Apt613 Live for January 27, 2015

By Michaella Francom on January 28, 2015

As you may already know, all week long Apartment 613 is presenting “The Future of Ottawa” series: a week-long collection of guest-written posts aimed at promoting discussion around Ottawa’s development and its future as a growing city.

In a similar spirit, this week on Apt613 Live you can catch my discussion with Chris Osler, Trevor Haché and Suneeta Millington: three organizers behind this Thursday’s FREE screening of The Human Scale over at the Bytowne. We chatted about their personal take on what can make Ottawa neighbourhoods great going forward and a bit about what kind of discussions they hope the event will inspire.

Plus, we’ve got Dan Misner- host of the always entertaining “Grownups Read Things They Wrote As Kids” podcast series. He’s going to be recording the voices of brave Ottawans as they take the stage and share their stories this Sunday February 1st at the Bytowne Tavern. But first he joins 613 to answer some questions about how it all got started and what keeps it going.

Music from Evening Hymns and The Yips! Both of whom are taking the stage as part of Megaphono’s Showcase Festival as it kicks off next week on February 3rd!

Podcast bonus! Hear one of Dan Misner’s own stories that he’s shared on stage!

Thanks for listening!
