It’s pride week in Ottawa, and this week’s Apt613 Live is nothing if not prideful!

Kicking off the show, we have an interview with Sebastien Provost from House of SAS. House of SAS is behind this year’s premiere of Cirque Bizarre, a 1930s-style carnival that has taken residence in the Ottawa Jail Hostel for pride week. In addition to carnival games and gourmet food, the event sports some pretty great DJs such as Lady Miss Kier and Honey Dijon. For a full listing of events, click here.

Next, we catch up with Jamie Woo, creator of For All-Gamers’ Sake, an art show that seeks to discuss LGBT and gender issues in video games. The show runs from Thursday the 23rd until Saturday, and features playable games as well as visual installations, all in service of analyzing the games industry.

Finally, we talk dance and revolution with Meena Rajulu, co-creator of Dance Dance (Office) Revolution, a lunchtime street dance party adventure! It’s happening at NOON TODAY at the corner of Sparks and O’Connor. So if you feel the need to shrug off the chains of your corporate or government master, this dance party may be just the thing. Dance Dance (Office) Revolution is the latest event to come out of Awesome Ottawa, a foundation who, every month, grants $1000 to an awesome idea! No strings attached!

Apt613 Live is broadcast on CHUO FM, 89.1 every Wednesday at 9. Tune in, or click on to listen.
