Hollerado said goodbye (well, kind of since they live around here) to their hometown crowd for the last time on their farewell tour.

While the Friday night Bronson Centre Music Theatre show has received most of the publicity as the “last Ottawa show,” those willing to make the drive out to Neat Coffee Shop in Burnstown on Sunday will get to see the band in an intimate venue, much closer to their 2007 roots.
The response to Hollerado’s retirement has been quite strong, with quick sellouts at many shows on the “One Last Time” tour.

After a 25-minute drive and a bumpy school bus ride to Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven, my friends and I made it to Oktoberfest Ottawa this weekend. One of the best kept secrets in Ottawa festivals is the annual Hopped and Confused hosted by Mill Street Brewpub each August. The cozy location boasts some amazing elements that most of the big festivals can only wish for: an intimate setting where you can get up close to the stage, a full service restaurant in addition to the outdoor booths (which includes a taqueria this year!), a massive selection of craft beer, as well as a selection of Brickworks Ciderhouse, and maybe most importantly: indoor washrooms!
