On a day dedicated to civic pride, we’re inviting Apt613 readers and friends to meet in the middle of town for a party that’s as local as it gets.
Those of you who made it to Bar Robo on 613 Day last year know what we’re talking about… 613 Day is our fun excuse to get social on 6/13. Citywide, we hope to find out about other neighbourhood get-togethers, barbecues, support local initiatives, living room concerts, and front porch beers.
The mini-festival at Happy Goat (Laurel) runs from 4pm to 9pm on June 13, but we hope “613 Day” will be observed from morning until midnight; as you see fit. Tag @apt613 to let us know how you’re celebrating, whether that’s volunteering, shopping local, getting tickets to a nearby show, or inviting the neighbours over for a barbecue.
Swing by after work (or on your way to work) for a beverage and a bite in the open air. Happy Goat will have the garage door open to its patio, which makes the indoor-outdoor vibe quite alright, plus we’re shutting down a section of Laurel Street and will be making more announcements on Facebook.
Join us 5à7 for birthday cake—Apartment613 is turning ten(!!!)—and as day turns into night, stick around to meet new people, dig local music, art exhibitions, pop-up food vendors and some street-side activities.
Entry is 100% free. 613 ’til infinity!
Latest updates now available.
Admission is free, however please RSVP so we know how many to expect. Happy Goat (35 Laurel St) is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral washrooms.
