It’s hard to say which is more impressive: “we’re still here after 10 years,” or, maybe the fact that > 2 million people (!) have visited Apartment613 since we got going in late-January 2009. We’re feeling a tad proud, can you tell? But it’s time for a blog intermission; to check in with you.
How do you feel about Apt613’s relationship with local culture and the arts community? A high level of involvement in the community is something that’s very important to our organization. We’d like to know, when it comes to growing and developing local art and media, or even just plugging the local media gap, is there anything we’re missing out on?
Reflecting on ten years, it’s time to take a good hard look at the platform. After a decade of producing what has been heralded as the “Best Community News Website” in Canada (Canadian Online Publishing Awards 2012, 2017, 2018), we’re super proud of the content and design of the blog—everything you see and read is created by volunteer contributors.
We want to get better at what we do. So what’s our next step? Where do you think Apartment613 should go from here? We need to hear from readers. Please, could you spare ten minutes to respond to this short questionnaire?
