Rejoice streetwear community, sneakerheads, and fashionistas! A pop-up consignment store is setting up shop on April 1 and 2 at Stomping Ground (728 Bank Street). The pop-up will focus mainly on streetwear clothing so expect Supreme, Palace, vintage band t-shirts, Yeezys and more.
Did you just read the last sentence and only understand “vintage band t-shirts” and “more?” To provide a simple explanation, those are extremely sought after brands in the streetwear community. How extreme? Watch this. The crowd in the video is trying to buy hoodies… crazy, I know.
This pop-up is the brainchild of Unavailable, a new online-based consignment store run by Ottawa-based entrepreneurs Trevor Oliveira, James Snell, and Curtis Wagner. The streetwear community in Canada is often plagued with buying internationally, which leads to ridiculous shipping and duty fees – and not to mention running the chance of buying a fake. Unavailable wants to help remedy that by providing a wide range of limited and exclusive items to Canadians and help bypass all that extra hassle.
In January, Wagner visited Montreal with a pop-up that city received amazingly, so expect a great selection of products. The team is accepting items until March 31, so if you have some exclusive streetwear or vintage items in great condition, feel free to write to email@example.com with pictures and they will provide you with details on the consignment process.
If you are not familiar with the streetwear community, don’t be scared to go drop by and check out the event. The community is a diverse and friendly crowd. If streetwear doesn’t float your boat, you can also check out Stomping Ground’s products that offer a more mature and classic style while you are there.
Follow Stomping Ground on Facebook for updates, or visit the pop-up at 738 Bank Street on April 1 and 2.
