Podcast: Olympic medallist Natasha Watcham-Roy

By Josh Lemoine on May 17, 2017

This week on the podcast, we’re interviewing Rugby Sevens player, Olympic medallist and Gatineau-native Natasha Watcham-Roy. Natasha currently trains full-time with Rugby Canada’s national sevens team in Victoria, BC.

Rugby Sevens is the fastest growing sport in the world. Making its Olympic debut in 2016 at the Rio Games (the first time any form of rugby has been in the Olympics since 1924), this fast-paced version of the sport has quickly been gaining legions of fans.

Natasha talks about her experience at the Olympics (where Team Canada won bronze), how she got into the sport, and everything she loves about Rugby Sevens. She’ll be taking on the world on home soil at the HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens tournament in Langford, BC on May 27–28.
