Dessertfest is finally here and the perfect place to indulge this weekend! It’s all happening at Landsdowne Park on Saturday and Sunday.
Can you picture all your favourite desserts under one roof with a pinch of savoury surprises and loads of activities? Co-creator Chelsea Boissonneault sure did! She’s bringing her passion for event planning and oh, did I mention she’s also a fitness pro, and her authority on the beloved cupcake to this sweet affair. (I knew it! Even trainers love to indulge every once in a while, nice!)
Everything is bite size so you can try one of each or more. Challenge accepted! I will try one of each and post it on Instagram, done! Yeah, I’ll admit it I’m one of those foodies that takes photos of everything. With over 32 vendors, there are lots of options and things to try. Once inside, you purchase a sheet of coupons for $20 that can be exchanged for different sample desserts starting at 50 cents and up.
What to expect? Culinary delights from Le Cordon Bleu and many more… Bonus, there’s also various activities for all ages, snack bar, coffee, wine, lounge and after 8 pm it’s ages 19+ only for a party with a DJ on Saturday night.
After seeing the list of vendors and all the deliciousness I couldn’t resist! Here’s a sneak peak at some of the desserts, snacks and activities that I’m most looking forward to:
Macarons from Signatures/Cordon Bleu bringing colourful and delightful French confections as well as demos from Chefs Armando, Hervé and Stuart including carving fruit and vegetable sculptures, chocolate and othe
Mini Banoffee! from Allium with
Cocktails specially designed and selected for Dessertfest including Sweet Tart, Sour 613 and Jolly Ranchers.
Snacks from Milano’s including St-
There will also be bulk chocolate and candy shops, snow cones, popcorn, gelato, sorbet, cotton candy and a vendor called “Donut rain on my parade” with mini donuts!
Great place to try your favourites and discover new ones. Make it a girl’s night, foodie tour, family event, night out or impulse of the moment just cause.
Dessertfest is happening in the Aberdeen Pavillion at Lansdowne Park from June 11 (11am – midnight) and 12 (11am – 8pm). Tickets are $10 in advance or $13 at the door (kids under 12 are free). For more information check out their website.
