Since the inaugural event took place in 2003, the Lumiere Festival has
blossomed into a beautiful Celebration of Light. Held in Stanley Park every summer, performances, workshops, and other events take place leading up to the Evening of Light Celebration(the final event). Staple installations such as the Lantern Labyrinth have become remarkably popular within the community.
The park is lit up, beginning at 5pm, with hundreds and thousands of
lanterns designed and crafted by the community and its artists. Throughout the park, festival goers will find themselves enjoying musical and theatrical performances.
A family-friendly setting, suitable for all ages! And a wide variety of health conscious food vendors, suitable for all dietary needs!
Please visit www.lumiereottawa.com for further information and a list of artists.
The Lumière Festival is produced by the Crichton Cultural Community Centre, a well as gracious local sponsors.
Hope to see you at this enchanted evening!
