Enriched Bread Artists (EBA) studio is hosting an exhibition of artists from the Quartair Contemporary Art Initiative of The Hague, the Netherlands.
Quartair’s history is remarkably similar to that of EBA (also an artists’ collective in a former bread factory began in 1992). An artists’ exchange between the two bread factories is a natural project to pursue. This exhibition brings the twins, EBA and Quartair, together for the first time. First, they play in our space and then we play in theirs.

Here are the details.

Opening Night of Dutch Settlement:
Friday, May 31st, 2013, 7 – 9 PM.
951Gladstone Avenue, west of Preston Street.
Lucy van Oldenbarneveld as Master of Ceremonies.

During Doors Open Ottawa weekend: Saturday, June 1st & Sunday June 2nd 2013, 10 AM – 4 PM.
Continues daily: Monday June 3rd – Monday June 10th 2013, 2 – 5 PM.

Special Events at Club SAW: June 6th 2013, 7 PM
Jessy Rahman: “Quartair, The first twenty years”
Paul Donker Duyvis: “Nine Dragon Heads, Nomadic art projects”.
67 Nicholas Street.

Admission to all events is free.

This exchange will continue in The Hague this August when fifteen EBA artists will participate in Interference, an exhibition curated by Petra Halkes.
