The best night of art in Ottawa this summer is at the National Arts Centre’s Canada
Scene Festival on Friday, July 14. Scene-O-Rama takes over the NAC Canal Lobby with FREE live performances, interactive installations, and more fun than you’ve had since 1999! Guests include DJ Memetic, Jesse Stewart, Guy Maddin, BoucharDanse, Fortier Danse-Création, The Brothers Plaid , Battery Opera Performance, Lilith & Cie, The Windows Collective, Gabriel Dharmoo and more.
What will you experience?
A baffling bunch of sheep, two plaid-wearing brothers, a full-size lighthouse, five loopy film installations, an eight-sided keyboard extravaganza, vocal gymnastics, an intimate touch, exquisite dancing, six-thousand light bulbs, movies created and destroyed, a bamboo forest, and more will be on offer throughout the night.
Guests will also have access to a delicious selection of Canadian-inspired tapas and drinks, available for purchase on site at various stations. The menu features tapas from regions including Atlantic, Central, Western and Northern Canada.
Scene-O-Rama follows Canada Scene’s evening performances in the NAC halls, including Old Stock starring Ben Caplan in the Studio, Hieronymus Bosch: The Garden of Earthly Delights by Compagnie Marie Chouinard in the Theatre, and Ariane Moffatt and friends with the NAC Orchestra in Southam Hall.
BE THERE! It’s a smorgasbord of culture and it’s FREE!
