Whether you’re an experienced artist looking to practice your
skills, an amateur wanting to improve, or just
yearning for a Wednesday night of socializing and
cheap beer, P(a)int & Draw offers an event above and
beyond your standard life drawing session.
Wednesday January 11th and February 8th from 6-9 pm in
Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts (a re-purposed
Roman Catholic church), located just past the
Byward Market in Lowertown. For only $15 you have
access to a live nude model and as much
cheap 5-dollar beer or wine you can drink from
Brigid’s Well, the Irish pub nestled in the basement.
Over the course of the 3-hour session, the live model
holds a variety of poses, ranging from short 2-minute
gestures to longer 30-minute poses. Depending on
the model’s whim, costume and drapery might be
worn for an added artistic challenge. Halfway through
the 3 hours, participant are encouraged to take a break
of about 30 minutes to refresh their beverages,
stretch cramped hands, and socialize.
310 Saint Patrick St., Entrance through Brigid’s Well Irish
Pub on the Cumberland St. side.
