Ottawa Talks presents an hour-long guided tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica on Thursday 20 April 2017 at 3 pm. Our guide, Jean-Guy Bourgeois, will discuss the liturgical, historical, and architectural details of the Cathedral, which is the largest and oldest standing church in Ottawa. Notre Dame is located at 375 Sussex Drive across from the National Gallery of Canada.
Organized by the Ottawa Art Society, the Ottawa Talks Series features eight tours each year of public and private art collections and public and private architectural spaces. The series is a way for the Ottawa Art Society, which supports visual arts organizations in Ottawa, to fund our grants and to provide an educational program for our Members. Each member is asked to pay an annual fee of $250 directly to the Ottawa Art Society Fund at the Community Foundation of Ottawa and, in return, members are invited to attend eight tours each year and they receive a charitable receipt through the Community Foundation of Ottawa.
