Nordic Days at the Museum of Nature

Explore Nordic culture in the Arctic through film, displays, photos and crafts. The Canadian Museum of Nature, along with embassies of the countries of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Finland, is pleased to present Nordic Days. Free films on Oct. 19 starting at 7 pm. The short, adult-oriented films are: The Reindeer Belong to the Wind (39 min), Iceland Aurora (27 min), Northern Great Mountain (15 min) and Seven Boats (10 min., Denmark). Family films on Oct. 21: Operation Arctic (89 min), The Flight before Christmas (92 min). The Arctic Fox (34 min., Iceland);  and Áigin (10 min). On Oct. 21, enjoy crafts, a photo exhibition, information displays and a special Lavvo—a traditional Sámi tent—with music and more (9 am to 5 pm). Visit the museum’s new Canada Goose Arctic Gallery on the 4th floor. All activities included in museum admission. The museum is free on Thursday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Address: 240 McLeod St, Ottawa
