Mobius : interactive video installation
When the viewer becomes the work of art
Ottawa – April 25, 2018– Yanie Porlier, graduate of the Ottawa School of Art will present Mobiusan interactive video installation at the Lee Matasi Gallery (35 St-George Street, Ottawa) from May 10 to 23, 2018. A first interactive school piece for Ottawa School of Art. The opening will take place on May 10 from 6 to 8pm.
Mobius is an immersive and interactive video installation that questions the proportion of the digital world in everyday life.

Yanie Porlier is a visual media artist. Recipient of the Ottawa School of Art Nicole and David Henderson scholarship (2018), Lilian Raport Memorial Scholarship Scholarship, (2017), Fritz Allgoewer Memorial (2017) and Mix Media (2016), Yanie also had the opportunity to mentor with internationally recognized French artist Fred Forest (http://www.fredforest.org), for a Canada-France collaboration during his retrospective at the Georges Pompidou Arts Center.
Yanie Porlier distinguished herself at the Ottawa School of Art by experimenting with the art of performance and conceptual art. Her performance Raconte-Moi / Tell mewas selected to be presented at the Ottawa Architecture Week in 2017. Yanie Porlier’s artistic future promises to be promising and innovative through the use of immersive and interactive video installations incorporating both the different platforms of social networks and the participation of viewers.
