From Books to Blogs to Software: An Evening with Practitioners Working at the Forefront of Conflict, Security and Citizen Action

Join the Canadian International Council (CIC)’s National Capital Branch for a special evening in conversation with two practitioners working at the forefront of conflict, security and citizen action: Phil Gurski, head of his own security consulting firm, Borealis Threat and Risk Consultants, blogger, and author of three books on radicalization and terrorism, following three decades of working in intelligence for the Canadian government; and Ben Roswell, a Canadian diplomat immersed in digital diplomacy and statebuilding and stabilization in many conflict hotspots around the world, who recently co-founded Perennial Software, to develop apps for citizen engagement and change through software that uses social algorithms and block chain technology.
