Aunt Thelma’s & Chico’s Hip Hop Brunch

April 2 @ 12:00 pmApril 3 @ 6:00 pm

Welcome to Aunt Thelma’s & Chico’s Hip Hop Brunch! Goes down on the 1st Sunday of every month at Kinki Lounge & Kitchen.

Since 2000, Caroline “Chico” Cichelly has been cookin’ up grub to get your mouth watering and increase ya waist size. Using inspiration from many hip hop heavyweights such as Big L, Mobb Deep, Sean Price, Masta Ace, Wu Tang, A Tribe Called Quest and the golden era of hiphop to pay homage to the game by fusing her love of cooking with her influences found in her music collection to create a fresh fun witted and delicious menu for your tasting pleasure.

Chico’s Hip Hop Brunch creates a chill environment where you can kick back and listen to that ol’boom bap while eating a Duck Down Poutine.

This past summer, she collaborated with Sean Daigle of Aunt Thelma’s where their squad cooked up her Hip Hop themed menu during House of PainT’s Festival of Arts and Culture, providing energy for more than 200 graffiti artists, bboys, bgirls, hip hop artists and DJs over several days of concerts, break battles and live graffiti.

Where else in our nation’s capital can you enjoy a hip hop themed menu while sipping a Brass Monkey and listening to Hip Hop?

Proud sponsors of House of PainT

We’re a young company, known for our healthy comfort food with a Jamaican twist. Sean Daigle has teamed up with his mother and grandmother (aka Aunt Thelma) to bring age-old Jamaican cuisine to the Canadian palette, sometimes in non-traditional ways. You’ll want to be sitting down with your feet up when you bite into one of our savoury pies. We are the creators of the Pulled Jerk Chicken Pie! When you taste one of our jarred products, you will realize the true taste of, let’s say, a pineapple!

Aunt Thelma’s has worked with Chico before and are very pleased to be working with her again, helping to raise funds for House of PainT. We’ll be supplying the Jerk Chicken, Sorrel Drink and home-style Ginger Beer to the HipHop Brunch.

Keep up to date with us by “liking” our Facebook page.
