My Utopia has Pizza Fountains everywhere, and everyone always has that about-to-get-brunch feeling. Like it’s like a happy hunger – and you can just grab slice from a Pizza Fountain on the walk to brunch anyway. Elon Musk is busy with Hyperloops to Mars right now, so Pizza Fountains are only going to exist in my brainbox for now. But that gem of a human being that got me thinking about what Utopia is. Chris Locke is touring through Ottawa this Friday night, April 7.
Locke has so many credits and appearances all over North America. From the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, to HBO Canada, Just For Laughs, and Mr D., to the hit indie film Filth City – he’s a national treasure! Locke is one of the most unique voices in Comedy, let alone Canada. With two #1 comedy albums and a 5-star podcast (Utopia to Me?) it’s easy to fall into a Chris Locke hangzone. Questioning society and norms in a relaxed and brilliant way – every time Locke takes the stage is a tremendous experience.
@chrislockefun Your last show here was so good! Glad you’re coming back, will bring friends.

Locke is devastatingly funny, and will be performing two shows at Live on Elgin. Local greats Megan Honey and Daniel Araya will be opening the show. That’s my idea of a Utopian Friday night.
Chris Locke will perform sets at Live on Elgin (220 Elgin St) on Friday April 7 at 8pm and 10pm. Tickets cost $15 and are available at www.liveonelgin.com or for $20 at the door.
