Looking for something fun to do Friday night? Love retro, spandex, and the big hair styles of the 80s and 90s? October is breast cancer awareness month and this year’s Boobyball is the place to be!
Come out and support breast health awareness while dancing the night away to tunes from your younger self.
Since the event started in 2002, Boobyball has raised over $4.2 million dollars for Rethink Breast Cancer. It was started by a group of friends supporting their 23 year old friend who had been diagnosed with aggressive, advanced breast cancer. Rethink Breast Cancer, with the support of fundraisers like Boobyball, is working to dispel the idea that young women won’t be diagnosed with breast cancer. By taking a breakthrough approach to all aspects of breast cancer – education, resources, advocacy, community building, and fundraising – Rethink is helping others to think differently about breast cancer.
This year’s fundraiser, themed Let’s Get Physical, aims to promote and celebrate regular physical activity which helps reduce a woman’s lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. Whether it’s shimmying in the most luscious lycra or having an aerobic dance-off to the sickest beat, Boobyball is your chance to get moving.
At Friday’s event, guests will be transported back to the 80s and 90s. Neon cocktails; retro hair, nail and makeup touch-ups; and memorable beats will let you relive the glory days of scrunchies, leg warmers and lyrca.
Tickets to the event include a tax receipt and throughout the course of the evening, party goers will be able to take part in an auction to further support the fundraising campaign.

Boobyball takes place Friday October 27 from 8pm to 1am at Lago Bar and Grill (Dows Lake Pavillion). Tickets to Boobyball are available online for $110 and include complimentary bar, snacks, gift bag, entertainment and much more.
