With the coming of spring, Ottawans strip off their bulky winter shells to reveal the fashionistas and fashionistos hidden beneath. The return of warm weather fashions also means the return of Apartment613’s Style File team and their tireless pursuit of the fabulous. Melanie Yugo, crafter extraordinaire and co-founder of Spins & Needles, and Lauryn Kronick, a vintage-obsessed fashion junkie, compile the 613 Style File. This month the ladies hit up PROMdemonium, Ottawa favourite radical, community-oriented, gender-bendin’, bike-lovin’, enviro-humpin’, queer-diggin’, slow dancin’, big dress wearin’ dance party. With outfits ranging from elegant to outrageous, what better way to kick off the beginning of the fashion-hunting season!
